Rules

Short, and all of it is enforced by the code rather than by a policy page.

  1. Rank is money. Listings are ordered by the total paid for them, highest first. Ties break toward the more recent payment.
  2. $1 minimum, $1 steps. You may bid more than the minimum. You do not have to beat anybody — a dollar always buys a place on the board.
  3. Nobody is removed by being outbid. An outbid listing moves down, not off. Rank never expires.
  4. One URL, one listing. Submitting a URL that is already on the board adds to that listing's total. Different paths on the same host are different listings.
  5. Sponsor slots are not auctions. 6 placements, $120 for 30 days, sold in order. They cannot be outbid and they do expire.
  6. The Firestarter is not for sale. It is derived from total spend across all of a buyer's listings.
  7. Clicks are counted, not estimated. The figure on your listing is requests to the outbound redirect. It is rate limited, and it counts requests rather than people — compare it against your own analytics, which is the number that matters.
  8. Takedowns. Malware, phishing, scams, adult content, impersonation and anything illegal get hidden. Hiding a listing is not a refund. If you think that is unfair, write in — but submit something honest and it will not come up.
  9. Refunds. A rank purchase always delivers, so there is nothing to refund. If a sponsor slot is taken between your checkout and your payment landing, the charge is returned automatically.
  10. This is not an endorsement. The order says what people paid. It says nothing about whether the software is any good.
